CarListAPI 1.6.0 — New Dashboard and VIN Decoder Beta

CarListAPI 1.6.0 introduces a refreshed customer experience and new ways to access vehicle data.

Redesigned customer dashboard

The CarListAPI dashboard has been rebuilt with a cleaner, more responsive interface across desktop and mobile devices.

You can now more easily:

• Review recent API activity.

• Monitor usage and plan allowances.

• Create and manage API tokens.

• Configure token IP restrictions.

• Access billing information and invoices.

• Manage your account and security settings.

VIN Decoder beta

Eligible plans can now access the new VIN Decoder beta.

Submit a 17-character VIN through:

POST /api/v1/vin-decoder/decode

The decoder provides structured vehicle details with clear responses for invalid VINs, incomplete results, provider errors, and exhausted usage allowances.

VIN-decoding availability and limits depend on your subscription plan.

Expanded powersports lookups

The Powersports API now includes additional ways to explore vehicle data by type.

New type-specific lookups make it easier to retrieve:

• Years.

• Makes.

• Models.

• Submodels.

• Year and make combinations.

These endpoints support categories such as motorcycles, ATVs, utility vehicles, snowmobiles, and other available powersports types.

Improved API usage reporting

Usage information is now presented more clearly throughout the dashboard.

Customers can more easily see recent requests, plan allowances, and current usage while managing API tokens from the same workspace.

Updated plans and billing experience

Monthly and annual subscription options are now presented through a clearer plan-selection experience.

Billing, invoices, subscription details, and post-checkout onboarding have also been improved.

New resources and support content

The website now includes expanded resources, support articles, product announcements, and release notes.

These additions provide a central place to find implementation guidance and stay informed about CarListAPI updates.
